London-listed alternative investments manager, Man Investments, is to open up a Canadian operation specialising in alternative investment products for private client and institutional investors. Man Investments’ Canadian business will be led by Toreigh Stuart and will comprise six experienced alternative investment professionals. John Kelly, president and chief executive officer of Man Investments in Chicago, will be chairman. Richard Ewan, will be director of product development beginning January 1 2007. The new group will cover all of Canada, with a senior executive based in British Columbia to assist with the West Coast. The Canadian operation will bring to 14 the number of countries in which Man Investments has a presence.
