Malta warns against unregistered MXTrade

The Maltese Financial Services Authority is warning investors about an entity operating under the name of MXTrade whose website bears the deceptive legend "start trading online with a regulated broker."

MXTrade is a brand owned and operated by or associated with a Malta-registered company called Grizzly Ltd with a registered office at Floor 5, 115A, Msida Valley Road, Birkirkara BKR 9024, Malta (formerly at Suite 4, Number 62/63, Morina Court, Gorg Borg Oliver Street, St. Julians STJ 1081, Malta). MXTrade has an internet presence at https://www.mxtrade.com and describes itself as one of the leading forex brokers and offers a range of trading services including forex, metal trading and CFDs.

The MFSA is telling the global investing public that MXTrade and/or Grizzly Limited are not licenced or otherwise authorised by the MFSA to provide any investment or other financial services which are required to be licenced or otherwise authorised under Maltese law. A list of entities that do have the correct authorisation is to be found at http://www.mfsa.com.mt/pages/licenceholders.aspx.
