Macquarie Bolsters Private Wealth Business With New COO

Macquarie has further strengthened its Asian wealth management business with the appointment of Andrea Wong as chief operating officer of Macquarie Private Wealth Asia.

Wong has over 26 years of banking experience, having spent the last nine years at DBS Private Bank, most recently as COO for private banking Singapore. She has also served as audit manager for Citibank in Singapore and Hong Kong and has extensive experience as a relationship manager. She takes over from Vivienne Chhoeu, who is moving into a business development role at Macquarie Private Wealth Asia.

Macquarie has been active in Asia for more than a decade, having set up its first office in Hong Kong in 1994. At present, it has more than 2,000 professionals in 16 markets.
