M&G Names New Private Markets Global Head Of Impact

The firm said that this appointment would help the business to accelerate product innovation, deepen partnerships and strengthen its delivery of impact for clients at scale.

London-headquartered M&G Investments has appointed Jen Braswell as global head of impact for its £83 billion ($112 billion) private markets business. It is a newly-created role designed to accelerate the growth of its impact platform.

M&G’s £13.8 billion impact platform draws on specialist capabilities, including responsAbility, Catalyst and P Capital Partners.

Reporting to Emmanuel Deblanc, chief investment officer, private markets, Braswell will be responsible for enhancing collaboration and strengthening M&G’s ability to originate, manage and scale impact investments for institutional investors. Working with the investment teams, she will drive product innovation and partnerships, while advancing M&G’s approach to impact assessment, measurement and governance, the firm said in a statement.

Prior to joining M&G, Braswell was managing director of global impact at EQT, where she led the development of impact investing strategies across private equity, infrastructure, growth and venture investing. Earlier in her career, she served in senior leadership roles at British International Investment, including leading value creation initiatives within its Impact Group. She brings nearly 30 years of experience across private capital, impact investing and sustainable finance in developed and emerging markets.

Since January 2026, Braswell has served as senior impact advisor to responsAbility, helping to enhance its specialist capabilities across M&G’s private markets platform and scale M&G’s impact offering for clients. In her new role, she will continue to advise the responsAbility executive management team on impact-related topics, the firm added.

As M&G’s specialist impact emerging markets investing business, responsAbility will remain central to the development of M&G’s impact capabilities and innovation agenda. The firm believes that combining these strengths will provide clients with access to opportunities across private credit, infrastructure, real assets and private equity in developed and emerging markets, in particular on climate, financial inclusion, sustainable food systems and social infrastructure.

"Institutional investors increasingly want private markets strategies that can combine financial performance with clear, measurable impact,” Emmanuel Deblanc, chief investment officer, private markets at M&G Investments, said. “Jen’s appointment brings greater strategic focus to our approach as we accelerate product innovation, deepen partnerships and strengthen how we can deliver impact for clients at scale."

"Impact investing has moved from a specialist allocation to a strategic priority for many institutional and private wealth investors,” Braswell added. “The next phase is about clarity of purpose, measurement and delivering investment propositions.”

M&G Investments is part of M&G plc, a savings and investments company with £387 billion of assets under management. Its customers in the UK, Europe, the Americas and Asia, include individual savers and investors, life insurance policy holders and pension scheme members.
