Lyxor Hedge Fund Index Records Positive December, Full Year 2010

The Lyxor Hedge Fund Index clocked up a positive performance of 2.25 per cent in December, meaning that for the full year it rose 5.82 per cent, according to Lyxor Asset Management, a subsidiary of France’s Société Générale.
The top performing index for last month was the Lyxor Global Macro, which gained 4.69 per cent, followed by Lyxor Special Situations, at 4.33 per cent.
Meanwhile, for the full year, the best performing strategy was credit arbitrage, as measured by the Lyxos L/S Credit Arbitrage Index, which gained 10.27 per cent. This was closely followed by the Lyxor CTAs Long Term Index, which gained 10.24 per cent, and the Lyxor Special Situation Index, which gained 9.96 per cent.
All the Lyxor indices are investable, asset-weighted hedge fund indices, based on the firm’s hedge fund platform.
