Luxembourg-Based Private Bank Appoints New Directors For UHNWs

Van Lanschot Luxembourg, a subsidiary of Van Lanschot, the Dutch private bank, has appointed Rob Berbee and Frank van den Biezenbos as directors of international wealth management.
In their new roles the two men will be responsible for servicing the firm’s ultra-high net worth clients. This will include director-owner consultancy, international company structuring and coordination of the full banking relationship, the firm said in a statement.
Last week, WealthBriefing reported that Van Lanschot had said it expects to record a limited net loss for 2009, although performance showed an improvement in the second half of last year as financial markets recovered.
The bank said it recorded a net profit in the second half of 2009 of €31 million ($43.6 million), compared with a net loss of €46.3 million in the first half.
