Zarattini & Co, a Lugano-based fund management group, has obtained a Swiss bank license and plans to change its name to Banca Zaratttini & Co. Founded in 1991 by Mario Zarattini, the Lugano asset management firm obtained a securities dealers licence in November 2001. Mr Zarattini died in May 2003. Zarattini hopes the banking license will help it boost its client base, which mostly comes from wealthy Italians.
