London Property Attracts Wealthy South-East Asians

British, and particularly London, property is an attractive investment for wealthy South-East Asians, according to a senior private banker. Don Percival, director of SG Hambros, the UK arm of SG Private Banking, told Singapore's Business Times that the South-East Asian property boom had increased interest in property as an asset class. Mr Percival said that his company had seen an increase "of at least 20 per cent" in the number of wealthy South-East Asian clients investing in the UK property market. Investors in the region had an affinity with the UK, and were comfortable about investing there, he said.
