London Investment Management Consultancy Names New Director

Laven Partners, the London based investment management consultancy, has named Kevin Quinlan as a director. Mr Quinlan joins from IMS Consulting and previously worked for the FSA Enforcement Division.
In his new role, Kevin will focus on FSA authorisations, fund set-ups and compliance controls.
Jerome Lussan, managing director of Laven Partners, said: “Kevin’s experience covers law, tax and consulting which, combined with his FSA background, matches the range of services we offer.”
The Laven Group’s new appointment brings its headcount to 15; the company has offices in London, Geneva and Barbados.
Laven Partners is an investment management group offering consultancy services, including fund structuring, tax, legal and compliance, as well as distribution and advisory services to fund managers and investors.
Last month Mr Lussan said that more should be done to support the fund management industry through the economic downturn.
He predicted that hedge funds and fund management companies will struggle in a time when reduced cash flows are combined with increased regulatory and legal needs.
Mr Lussan urged service providers to help the industry and remember that entrepreneurial businesses like fund and hedge fund managers are the “lifeblood of our economy.”
