London Fixed Income Boutique Makes Double Hire

KNG Securities, the London-based fixed income boutique, has continued its recent hiring drive with the recruitment of Alessandro Vargiu and Filippo Gromo.

Vargiu, who is described as having worked on a wide range of transactions across the credit markets and structured products, previously worked for Deutsche Bank and Credit Suisse. Gromo, meanwhile, latterly spent seven years in the credit and structured rates sales team at BNP Paribas.

KNG hope that the addition of Vargiu and Gromo will help expand both its product offering and geographic footprint, with a specific focus on Italy. The appointments closely follow that of Andrea Podesta last month as managing partner and head of fixed income. Podesta latterly worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, as managing director and head of southern European fixed income sales.

KNG, which was launched in 2003, has said it is hiring “across the board” to take advantage of what it sees as an increasing migration of talent away from the “bulge-bracket” firms to boutique providers.
