London Boutique Appoints Head Of Portfolio Services

Yellow Capital Wealth Management, the recently-launched London-based boutique, has appointed Anthony McGarel-Groves as a director, head of portfolio services and a member of its investment committee.

In his prior career McGarel-Groves was a founding partner of Mark Capital and head of North American equities at Investec Guinness Flight Global Asset Management, the successor firm to Hambros Fund Management and Guinness Flight Asset Management. Also among his former roles is that of head of American portfolio investments for the Kuwait Investment Office.

“He [McGarel-Groves] has an extremely successful history of enhancing client wealth in a steady and cautious manner, having successfully managed a diversified portfolio in excess of $5 billion,” Haydn Ellwood, managing director of Yellow Capital, said in a statement.

Established by Ellwood and Scott Sander, both of whom have a background in working at private client IFA firms, Yellow Capital targets clients with a net worth in excess of £1 million (about $1.5 million).
