London Boutique Appoints Co-Chief Investment Officer

IPS Capital, the London-based wealth management boutique, has appointed Chris Brown as co-chief investment officer.

Prior to joining IPS Capital Mr Brown was a partner and portfolio manager at Cinnamon Capital, a London-based specialist credit manager. Prior to this he was a credit trader within Goldman Sachs’ European Special Situations team, the report said, and he also counts Commerzbank and Citibank among his former employers, according to the IPS website.

“Chris brings a highly analytic set of skills, which is enhancing the investment management process and knits well with my trading background,” Jonathan Blain, IPS Capital’s founder is reported to have told the news service.

In his new role Mr Brown serves as co-head of IPS Capital’s investment committee, with responsibility for credit strategies, analysis and portfolio construction. While he officially joined the firm at the start of this year, Mr Brown has reportedly already spent a number of months helping to develop IPS Capital’s proprietary in-house risk and trading software.
