London's Heptagon Swaps Odyssey For Advent

Heptagon Capital, the London-based investment manager which serves family offices and high net worth individuals, has implemented Advent’s product suite for portfolio, client relationship and trade order management.

Heptagon said in a statement that it had chosen Advent’s products to provide support across its discretionary, advisory and fund businesses and that it is hoped the implementation will help drive the firm’s expansion. The firm had formerly used the suite provided by Odyssey Financial Technologies, the Luxembourg-based firm which Temenos agreed to buy last month for a consideration of $81 million.

In explaining the choice of Advent’s products, Robert Rosenberg, Heptagon Capital’s chief operating officer, singled out the suite’s reporting capabilities, saying that it will allow the firm to “easily extract and present key information to our clients and senior management across all of our businesses and products.” He also highlighted that being able to use Advent to import Swift message from the firm’s custodian was important to its operational framework.

In another recent sign-up to Advent, in September United Financial House, a new Riyadh-based start-up asset manager, announced that it had opted for Advent Portfolio Exchange as its portfolio and client relationship management platform and Moxy to handle its trade order management. In addition to APX and Moxy the firm also implemented Tradex, the firm’s fund order management system.
