New Office
Lombard Odier Starts New Growth Chapter With Geneva HQ

The venerable private bank is swapping six separate locations in Geneva for a single HQ that sits on the shores of Lake Geneva.
Lombard Odier has officially unveiled its new Geneva headquarters, designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron.
The new HQ
The private banking house describes the office in Bellevue,
Geneva, as an “avant-garde building [which] embodies the
group’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.”
The HQ brings together more than 2,000 employees who were
previously spread across six sites in Geneva.
Claiming the mantle of Geneva’s oldest bank, Lombard Odier –
which has nearly 230 years of history – said the
new HQ comes as the firm “positions itself for future growth” and
reaffirm its commitment to Geneva and Swiss financial services,
it said in a statement yesterday.
“Our new headquarters is more than a building – it is a statement
that represents who we are today and our future growth
ambitions,” Hubert Keller, senior managing partner of Lombard
Odier Group, said. “Partnering with Herzog & de Meuron allowed us
to push boundaries and create a state-of-the-art working
environment designed according to the highest sustainability
standards. We look forward to welcoming our clients to our new
home, and to serving them in this exceptional building.”
The building is on the shores of Lake Geneva.
“This project demonstrates that `Rethink Everything®’ is more
than just a slogan for Lombard Odier. Together, we have created
an office environment unlike any other, making the most of an
incredible location. The new headquarters will further optimise
interaction with clients while establishing a workplace that
prioritises both efficiency and employee wellbeing,” Jacques
Herzog & Pierre de Meuron, said.
The client areas have been designed by interior designer Rodolphe
Parente, with a view to creating an intimate atmosphere.
Stressing its sustainability credentials, Lombard Odier said the
HQ has been constructed according to “robust criteria regarding
material use, energy provision, circularity, employee well-being
and advanced green technologies” to reduce its environmental
footprint. The HQ is designed to achieve the highest level of
three widely-recognised sustainable construction certifications:
SNBS (Standard Nachhaltiges Bauen Schweiz), Minergie-P, and
BREEAM®.
