Lombard Odier Names UK Wealth Planning Head

The senior joiner has had a background working for two large private client law firms, bringing expertise in areas such as the non-dom client world.
Lombard Odier
has appointed Sophie Dworetzsky as its head of wealth planning
for the UK, taking effect from 22 September, it said today.
Based in London, Dworetzsky will be part of Lombard Odier UK,
headed by Mark Goddard, chief executive; she will report at
group level to Stanislas Peel, global co-head of wealth planning
at Lombard Odier Group.
Dworetzsky has worked at UK private client law firms Charles
Russell Speechlys and Withers. At Charles Russell Speechlys, she
was a partner for the past six years. At Withers, she was a
partner for more than a decade. She advises private equity
managers on tax-efficient investment structuring and the taxation
of carried interest. Dworetzsky has recently advised extensively
on the abolition of the remittance basis for formerly
non-domiciled individuals as of April 2025, and tax planning in
the UK following this meaningful change. She
also advises entrepreneurs, business owners and
international family offices on matters ranging from business
sales and management buyouts to family governance and succession
planning.
“Sophie’s extensive experience advising high and ultra-high net
worth individuals, including private equity managers, family
offices and international families on wealth structuring,
governance, asset protection, tax-efficient structuring, trusts
and succession planning, ensures she is well equipped to guide
our business into its next phase of growth,” Goddard said.
