Lloyds Banking Group Names MD For Wealth Management, Family Office Coverage

Part of the reason for creating the role is the growing scale and institutionalisation of family offices.
Lloyds
Banking Group has appointed Alessandro Cummunale as managing
director, head of wealth management and family offices coverage,
within the UK lender’s corporate and institutional banking
business.
Cummunale, who has joined with immediate effect, will report to
Tangwena Nelson, MD, head of asset and wealth management and
government.
In this newly-created role, Cummunale will help strengthen
Lloyds' wealth management and family offices coverage
proposition, reflecting the growing scale of larger, increasingly
institutionalised family offices. Prior to this, he worked for
Alishon SCF Srl, where he served as associate partner, advising
ultra-high net worth families and investors in Italy. Previously,
he held senior positions at UniCredit and Deutsche Bank, bringing
more than 30 years of experience across wealth management,
investment banking and global markets.
"As wealth management clients and institutionalised family
offices grow in scale and sophistication, there is a clear
opportunity to support them with broader, more integrated
solutions,” Cummunale said in a statement this week.
As reported separately, Lloyds Banking Group issued
first-quarter 2026 financial results yesterday.
