Lloyds Banking Group Appoints Chairman Of Scottish Widows Arm

Lloyds Banking Group has appointed Nick Prettejohn as non-executive director and chairman of Scottish Widows, its life insurance and investment arm.

Banking Group has appointed Nick Prettejohn as non-executive
director and chairman of Scottish Widows, its investment arm.
As part of his responsibilities at Scottish Widows, Prettejohn
will serve as a member of the audit and risk committees at
Lloyds, the UK-listed bank, which is partly owned by the UK
government.
Formerly, Prettejohn was chief executive for Prudential UK and
Europe from 2006 to 2008. Until recently he was a
non-executive director of the Prudential Regulation Authority,
the regulatory body supervising the banking sector.
Previously, he was a chief executive of Lloyd’s of London and
non-executive director at Legal and General.
As of 23 June 2014, Prettejohn will replace Lord Blackwell as the
chairman of Scottish Widows. In the beginning of April, Blackwell
became the chair of Lloyds following the retirement of Wis
Bischoff.
Prettejohn is also a member of the BBC Trust.
