Liverpool Victoria Asset Management has appointed Piers Hillier as its new chief investment officer.

In his new role, which is based in London, Mr Hillier reports to Ann Roughead, LVAM’s managing director.

"We are very pleased to welcome Piers to our expanding business and look forward to drawing on his skills and experience to galvanise our existing investment expertise to help take our business forward," Ms Roughead said in a statement.

Over the course of his career Mr Hillier has served in a number of senior positions, including investment head at West LB Asset Management and managing director at Deutsche Asset Management.
