Lincoln Private Investment Office Adds To Advisory Board

Two senior figures in the UK wealth and asset management fields have joined the private investment office.
One of the most prominent figures in the UK wealth and asset
management sector, Martin Gilbert (main picture), has joined the
advisory board of Lincoln Private Investment Office, it said
yesterday. The firm has also appointed Philip Byrne (pictured
below) to the board. He is another senior figure in the financial
sector, having served in roles such as those of vice
chairman of UBS investment bank and UBS wealth management.
Gilbert, who co-founded Aberdeen Asset Management and was CEO of
that business for 34 years, was at the helm when it merged with
Standard Life in 2017. Until November 2019 Gilbert was chairman
of the UK’s Prudential Regulation Authority’s Practitioner Panel,
and was deputy chairman of Sky plc until 2019.
Byrne has also been a senior consultant for UBS, and is on
advisory boards of several tech-driven firms within the
industry.
