Liechtensteinische Landesbank, also known as LLB Group, has appointed one of its senior figures, Markus Schifferle (pictured below), as the new group chief financial officer and group executive board member.

Schifferle is taking the helm following the former group CFO, Christoph Reich, becoming group CEO in September.

With more than 25 years’ experience, Schifferle has held senior roles in the LLB Group since 2011, most recently, as head of group finance and risk.

"With his experience, expertise, and commitment, Markus Schifferle is the ideal successor for the position of group CFO. He represents a modern, responsible, and strategically focused approach to financial and risk management," Georg Wohlwend, chairman of the board of directors of the LLB Group, said. 

The appointment is subject to the approval of the FMA Liechtenstein.
