LGT's US Wealth Arm Vaunts American Football Links

The annual programme is part of LGT's wealth business' policy to support the local community and engage with more young people in sport and development.

The Jacksonville Jaguars UK, in partnership with LGT Wealth Management US, part of Liechtenstein’s LGT, have announced the recipients of the Gridiron Grant award for 2025, alongside the names of participating schools for its Reward Rows programme.

The Gridiron Grant is a unique scholarship programme. It was devised by LGT Wealth Management US and the Jacksonville Jaguars UK in 2018, to offer two recipients each year an opportunity to receive full tuition fees to any UK university or vocational programme of their choice. The only criteria to apply is that the students must take part in an American football programme through British American Football Association (BAFA) or the Jaguars.

This year’s recipients are Noah Kirby and Jochebed Frimpong. Kirby has been part of both JagTag and BAFA programmes and played for Solent Seahawks Contact American Football team. His ambition is to combine his passion for coaching with a sports science degree; he has been offered a place at Bournemouth University. Frimpong, who is a Flag and Contact rising star – having been on a JagTag Xtra Time programme – has transitioned to a Wide Receiver in contact football for London Warriors Women and South London Renegades. Frimpong was recently named in the GB Women’s Flag Team for the Euro squad and aspires to make it to LA 2028. She will be studying psychology at St Mary's University.

Activating at the LA Rams Vs Jacksonville Jaguars fixture at Wembley on 19 October, the annual Reward Rows programme is an initiative that forms an integral part of both the Jaguars and LGT’s commitment to supporting local community and engaging even more young people in sport and development.

The move is an example of sports and wealth management intersecting, as private banks and other groups sponsor and work with sports teams to build brands, engage with and enthuse clients. See an article earlier this week for Titan Wealth and Harlequins, the English rugby club, for example.
