Legal & General Investment Management has appointed Nick Griffiths as its new head of global rates. 

Latterly co-head of interest rates and global portfolios at Aberdeen Asset Management, Griffiths will join the LGIM team in September, where he will be working under Roger Bartley, the firm’s head of fixed income.

Prior to Aberdeen Asset Management, Griffiths spent over 11 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, where he held the position of co-head of the government and agency alpha team. 

“Nick will be a great asset to LGIM and will develop and diversify our approach to global rates strategies. His substantial industry experience and background lends itself well to strengthening our overall fixed income proposition,” says Bartley.
