Lazard’s French Wealth Unit Expands With Pair Of Hires

Lazard Frères Gestion has strengthened its French private banking and fund management team with the appointments of Jean-Jacques de Gournay and Matthieu Grouès as associates.
De Gournay first joined the firm in 2002 to work in institutional and fund management. Other prior roles were at CPR and the private banking unit at Paribas. In his new role de Gournay will be responsible for relations with independent wealth advisors, distributors and institutional investors.
Grouès was latterly in charge of collective and institutional management at Lazard Frères Gestion, a position to which he was appointed in 2009. He has also worked for the French asset manager Groupama Asset Management.
Both new appointees join François-Marc Durand, in charge of fund management activities in France, and François de Saint-Pierre, head of wealth management activities in France.
