Lauterbach Elected Board Of Trustees Chair for National Philanthropic Trust

Wealth management veteran Jeffrey Lauterbach has been elected chair of the National Philanthropic Trust’s Board of Trustees.  The trust is the fourth-largest national donor advised fund provider in the US and has raised $1.8 billion since its inception in 1996.

Mr Lauterbach is an independent advisor and consultant, focusing on trust business and wealth planning. He is the former chairman, president and chief executive of the Capital Trust Company of Delaware, a company he founded in 1999.

The trust had a record year for donations last year, Mr Lauterbach said, and is well positioned to top it this year, noting the NPT’s new relationships with UBS, Harris My CFO and Barclays.

Previously, Mr Lauterbach served as chairman, president and CEO of American Guaranty & Trust Company, and as chairman of The American Gift Fund, both of Wilmington, Delaware. He has also served as chief marketing officer of Financial Service Corporation, Atlanta, Georgia, and as managing director Corporate Services of The International Association for Financial Planning, Atlanta.
