Latin American Bank Implements Temenos WealthSuite

Latest news around the world of financial technology in private banking.

Temenos, the Switzerland-headquartered software specialist for banking and finance, has won a client in the form of Latin American lender Itaú Unibanco Holding.

The financial group, which is listed in Brazil, the US and Argentina, has selected Temenos' WealthSuite for its international private banking operations. The solution combines Itaú's core banking, portfolio management, channels and analytics functions in a single wealth management platform.

The bank will put the Temenos offering to work in a “big bang” way, implementing the system as fast as possible.

“Temenos' WealthSuite solution will allow key international offices to automate front, middle and back office functions. Equally important, the new technology platform will make the business better prepared for the exponential evolution of technological cycles," Carlos Constantini, chief executive of US and head of international private banking at Itaú, said.

Itaú Unibanco resulted from the merger of Itaú and Unibanco in 2008 and now has operations in 19 countries throughout the Americas, Asia, Middle East and Europe.
