KPMG Names New UK Private Client Head, Predecessor Joins Saffery Champness

A familiar face will assume the role, taking over from a KPMG veteran who is set to join fiduciary, tax and accountancy firm Saffery Champness.
KPMG has appointed Greg Limb as its new UK head of private client advisory, replacing Dermot Callinan, who will be leaving after 26 years with the firm.
Callinan has led KPMG’s UK private client practice since 2011. The practice comprises over 150 specialists in personal tax advice and compliance throughout the UK. Callinan will retire from the partnership in September 2017 to join Saffery Champness as a partner in its Harrogate office.
Limb, based in London, has been a partner at KPMG since 2008 and has over 25 years of tax experience, specialising in advising individuals, family offices, entrepreneurs and shareholders on tax issues.
“He [Limb] has a market leading reputation and is well known for building strong lasting relationships with clients from entrepreneurs and family business owners, to private wealthy individuals and trustees,” said Mike Linter, head of national markets tax at KPMG in the UK.
“I would like to thank Dermot for his successful leadership and commitment during his five years at the helm. He is a highly respected KPMG partner who has contributed hugely to the private client practice and the wider firm, especially in the North over the years.”
