Kleinwort Benson Taps HSBC for New Head of Wealth Management

Kleinwort Benson has hired former HSBC commercial insurance and investment chief Mark Hussein as head of private wealth management.

UK wealth manager and private bank Kleinwort Benson has hired former HSBC commercial insurance and investment chief Mark Hussein as head of private wealth management. He will be responsible for the further expansion and strategic development of the Allianz subsidiary’s private wealth management business across the UK and Channel Islands. He is also expected to progress the regional development programme which included the opening of a Manchester and a Birmingham office in the last year and will involve the opening of two further regional centres by the end of 2007. Robert Taylor, chief executive of Kleinwort Benson, said: “Mark has an excellent all-round knowledge of financial services and we welcome the broad experience he will bring to Kleinwort Benson and private banking. Wealth management is growing at an unprecedented rate and there is a need to look outside the traditional private banking arena to find the right skills to build on the momentum we have already generated.”
