Kleinwort Benson Opens Birmingham Office, Promises Two More

Barely a month after opening its Newbury facility, Kleinwort Benson has opened a new office in Birmingham. The office is based in Victoria Square from where it will serve private clients from the Welsh border to Oxfordshire. Kleinworts chief executive Robert Taylor told WealthBriefing: “The office will serve a huge area. We are confident about its potential. Birmingham has transformed over the last five to ten years. Our Manchester office opened a year ago and has gone from zero to £60 million assets under management. It has outgrown its facility and will need new premises early in the New Year. We confidently expect Birmingham to do the same.” The Birmingham office will have four relationship managers - Paul Rihal, Jackie Currie, Rob Anglin, and James Heathcock – led by Graham Lucas. Mr Taylor said: “We are on target to open more offices around the UK and we will announce the details of two more very shortly. We need to take advantage of the considerable market opportunities which are out there. “We offer the same suite of products and services as UBS or Barclays but we remain a boutique style, never outgrowing the personal touch.”
