Kleinwort Benson Announces Latest UK Regional Office

Kleinwort Benson has set autumn for the opening of its latest regional office. The Cambridge facility will be used to offer private client and wealth management services to clients and prospective clients in the East Anglia region. Cambridge is a highly attractive setting for Kleinwort Benson, said a spokesman for the company, as it embraces the high tech industries of the city with the more traditional family wealth in the farming and horse breeding sectors. The company has opened a series of offices throughout the UK to take services to clients in their own localities. The new Cambridge office will be staffed by five private client and wealth management professionals. Kleinwort Benson is expecting to make at least one signing of a well known figure from the financial services sector in the city and so is keeping details of the team under wraps until closer to the launch. Kleinwort Benson opened an office in Birmingham in May and immediately prior to that in Newbury. At the time of the Birmingham opening, chief executive Robert Taylor told WealthBriefing, that the company would be launching two new offices. Cambridge is the first. Taylor pointed to the growth in regional operations: “Our Manchester office opened a year ago and has gone from zero to £60 million assets under management. It has outgrown its facility and will need new premises early in the New Year.”
