KBL European Private Bankers Adds To Top Executive Team

KBL European Private Bankers has appointed Frédéric Genet as its chief executive, professional services, for the group, a newly-created post. He will be based in Luxembourg and starts his role in May.
Genet will focus on reinforcing the services provided by the group’s global investor services, global financial markets, assets and liabilities management and credit capabilities.
An industry veteran, Genet was previously CEO of Société Générale Bank & Trust. As well as holding the position of country head for Société Générale in Luxembourg, he was also a member of the board of directors of the Luxembourg Stock Exchange and the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association.
This appointment brings the private bank’s executive committee to six members: Jacques Peters, group CEO; Genet, CEO, professional services; Olivier de Jamblinne de Meux, CEO for Luxembourg; Marc Lauwers, chief operating officer; Yves Pitsaer, chief financial risk officer, and Yves Stein, chief executive, private banking.
The firm aims to become a top-20 European private bank by 2015, Peters said in a statement.
