Jupiter Names Euro Income Fund Manager

Jupiter Asset Management, the UK-listed investment house, has appointed Gregory Herbert as manager of the £35 million (around $53 million) Jupiter European Income Fund, effective from 2 April.

Herbert, who has worked at Jupiter since 2005, joined the European equities team in 2007 to assist Cédric de Fonclare in the management of the Jupiter European Special Situations Fund, the Jupiter European Income Fund, and the Jupiter European Opportunities SICAV.

Herbert took over management of the European portion of the Jupiter Global Managed Fund in January 2012.

In other recent developments, last month Jupiter said client assets reached a total of £26.3 billion at the end of 2012, up from £22.8 billion a year before, boosted by portfolio performance and market gains.
