Jupiter Director Steps Down

The London-listed fund manager will see a board departure at the end of this month.

John Chatfeild-Roberts will be stepping down as a director of Jupiter Fund Management at the end of November, the company said in a statement on the London Stock Exchange.

Chatfeild-Roberts, who joined Jupiter 15 years ago, has sat on the board for nine years. He served as chief investment officer from 2010 to 2015. Together with Algy Smith-Maxwell, he is responsible for creating and managing the company's Jupiter Merlin multi-manager fund range, which comprises five diversified portfolios.

He will remain with Jupiter in that role.

“John has made an exceptional contribution to Jupiter. At the same time as providing valuable perspectives at the board level, he has delivered strong performance over the long term to clients in one of Jupiter's most important and successful investment strategies,” said Liz Airey, chairman of Jupiter.

“We appreciate the dual role he has played for many years and support his decision to step back from his board responsibilities to focus solely on running his funds.”
