Julius Baer has re-branded Banco di Lugano to Banca Julius Baer just three months after acquiring the bank from UBS. Julius Baer bought the three private banks – Ferrier Lullin, Ehinger & Armand von Ernst, BDL Banco di Lugano as well as the London-based asset manager GAM – from UBS in September. The Zurich-based bank said in a statement that it completed the acquisition on December 2. There has been no indication whether the re-branding of Lugano is likely to be extended to the other brands, although analysts say it is entirely possible.
