Julius Baer Makes Four Senior Hires From Credit Suisse In Guernsey

The Swiss private bank has added to its Channel Islands management team.
Julius Baer has
made four senior appointments to its private banking arm in
Guernsey as it seeks to expand its presence in the Channel
Islands.
Andy Phillips, Stefano Bruschini and Tim Bichard have joined the
bank as executive directors, while Sam Grayland has been
appointed as executive director of the portfolio management
team. All four join from Credit Suisse.
Phillips has 30 years of industry experience, having previously
worked at Kleinwort Benson in
Guernsey and Barclays
in the UK. In his new role, he will focus on working with and
servicing locally-based clients and UK-resident, non-domiciled
individuals.
Bruschini, who is fluent in Italian and German, has more
than 24 years' industry experience and will primarily be dealing
with high net worth clients.
Following a 17-year career at Credit Suisse, Bichard joins the
bank to focus on building relationships with clients based in
both Guernsey and the UK.
Grayland spent 12 years at Credit Suisse in roles such
as derivatives specialist, trader and senior portfolio
manager, according to his LinkedIn profile.
All four are chartered wealth managers.
“The addition of four further individuals to our already
experienced relationship management and investment team will
ensure that our strong position in servicing private banking
clients in the island is further supported,” said branch manager
Paul Van Neste.
Julius Baer has had a presence in Guernsey since 1994 and has
more than 100 staff on the island.
Earlier this week, WealthBriefing reported that
the group appointed Laura Hilber as director of its foreign
exchange private banking solutions team.
