Swiss bank Julius Baer has appointed Alan Edwards as a senior relationship manager in its London office, having formerly worked at the wealth arm of Barclays.

Swiss bank Julius Baer has appointed Alan Edwards as a senior relationship manager in its London office, having formerly worked at the wealth arm of Barclays.

Edwards will focus on developing the firm’s business in the North West region of the UK, and will report to David Durlacher, head of relationship management.

Working in the wealth management field for more than 30 years, Edwards was regional centre head for Manchester, and Liverpool and previously also led the Leeds office at Barclays Wealth (as the wealth arm of Barclays used to be known), overseeing the teams of bankers in these locations.

Prior to that, Edwards was head of private banking for the North East business of Coutts & Co., where he led its Leeds and Newcastle business. Before this, he was head of wealth for Northern England at HSBC.
