Julius Baer Adds To Its "Asia Switzerland" Team

The Swiss bank has a hub of managers looking after the Asia region from Zurich. Julius Baer, also present on the ground in Asia, treats the region as its second home market.
Julius Baer has
appointed former Singapore-based wealth management figure Serena
Wong as a senior relationship manager, working from Zurich. She
reports to Christian Cappelli, head of Asia Switzerland.
Wong has worked in financial hubs including New York, Paris and
Singapore.
In her previous job, Wong was at Kamet Capital Partners in
Singapore. Prior to this, she was at JP Morgan Private Bank, the
Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) and Société
Generale.
“This appointment reaffirms our steadfast commitment to serving
the Asia region from Zurich and investing in top-tier talent to
drive our business growth,” Cappelli said.
The Zurich-listed bank’s Asia Switzerland team recently appointed
Fernando Kresna Baay as a team head, Jacqlyn Mak and Christophe
Amadieu as senior RMs and Abraham Ara as an RM.
In Hong Kong, the bank appointed Jack Wu as a group head for
Greater China Hong Kong and promoted Josephine Wang as a group
head for Greater China Hong Kong.
In Singapore, Ben Sim has been named as a group head for Greater
China Singapore, while welcoming Malcom Tay as a group head for
Southeast Asia. It has also appointed Jason Gan and Mun Joo Ng as
team heads for Southeast Asia.
