Julius Baer Adds Director, Private Clients In London

Julius Baer has hired Michael Lindemann as a director, private clients at its UK business.

Based in London, Lindemann will report to Charlotte Vilen, who in turn reports to Daniel Gerber, chief executive of Julius Baer UK. Lindemann joined the firm this month, having latterly worked at Barclays Wealth as a private banker.

A number of appointments have emerged at the Swiss bank so far this year. Last month David Lim was appointed chief executive of its Singapore business, and Heiko Schlag, a HypoVereinsbank veteran, was appointed head of private banking at Bank Julius Bär Europe. Meanwhile, the German division was expanded in January with the addition of 14 new relationship managers to the Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart teams.
