JTC Names Asia, Middle East And Africa Private Client Services Head

The firm has been expanding, raising almost £66 million to finance acquisitions, among other tasks.
JTC, the global provider
of fund, corporate and private client services which has raised
capital to fund acquisitions, has appointed former Bank of
America Merrill Lynch figure Charles-Henry Courtois as regional
head – AMEA within its Private Client Services division.
(“AMEA” stands for Asia, the Middle East and Africa.)
Based in London, Courtois sits on JTC’s PCS executive committee
and provides oversight for PCS’ client service and business
development activities across the AMEA region and is responsible
for its development and performance.
With 25 years’ experience in the international private client
space, Courtois began his career in Jersey with a major European
trust administration firm before relocating to London as the
deputy head of tax and estate planning business. He joins JTC
from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he worked for 15 years,
first as a wealth strategist for the EMEA region and subsequently
as the head of the international trust and wealth structuring
group. Most recently, Courtois has served in a number of senior
roles for the firm in the US in the institutional retirement
space. He read law in Paris, holds a masters in public policy
from the UCL and is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate
Practitioners (STEP).
JTC has been expanding. In early May, it raised £65.9
million ($80.7 million) from its first capital markets
placing since the group listed on the London Stock Exchange in
2018. The capital will be used to fund a “pipeline” of
acquisition opportunities, as well as bolster its balance sheet.
