JP Morgan Private Bank Ramps Ups Nordic Client Coverage

JP Morgan Private Bank has significantly strengthened its coverage of ultra high net worth clients in the Nordic region with three new hires in London.
Pontus Aldell and Stephan Treschow have joined as executive directors, while Bjorn Bohm has been appointed as an associate banker. All three are based in London, reporting to Olivier de Givenchy, head of JP Morgan Private Bank in the UK.
The three new appointees will serve ultra high net worth families across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland – a region which the bank has singled out as a significant growth market.
Aldell was previously head of the Nordic and Israel desk at Credit Suisse Private Banking in London for ten years, and had previously been a financial consultant at Merrill Lynch in Monaco and Luxembourg.
Treschow, meanwhile, was latterly based in Copenhagen working within Carnegie Bank’s private banking team. Before this he held various roles at SEB Group in Stockholm, Sydney, New York, London and Copenhagen.
Finally, Bohm was formerly a relationship manager covering Nordic clients for Credit Suisse Private Banking in London.
In related news, earlier this month JP Morgan Private Bank moved its UK headquarters and its 200 client-facing employees to new West End premises at 1 Knightsbridge. Previously headquartered at 125 London Wall, JP Morgan Private Bank has outlined ambitious growth plans for the UK, aiming to increase its headcount by 50 per cent by 2014.
