JP Morgan In Big IT Recruitment Drive In New York

JPMorgan has opened applications for over 100 positions at a new technology centre in New York.
The bank’s technology centre at Syracuse University is looking for people with information technology experience to work on cyber security, risk analysis and application development.
A broad range of positions are available, ranging from management to research and support and although successful applicants will be working for the bank, they will also join with university staff and faculty members on projects.
"We are excited that our collaboration with JPMorgan Chase is bringing new jobs and new opportunity to Syracuse and Central New York. Most critically, faculty and students from across our campus will have the unique opportunity to work side-by-side with these new employees, putting scholarship into action to solve real-world problems in global financial services technology," said Nancy Cantor, chancellor and president of Syracuse University.
Syracuse University is a private research university in New York which includes centres and institutes in digital literacy, entrepreneurship and investments among others. Syracuse University runs several programs using collaborations with businesses and practitioners from other industries and professions.
As part of their two year-old venture with the university, 30 technology experts from JPMorgan joined 15 Syracuse professors to develop a global enterprise technology curriculum.
JPMorgan Chase is a global financial services firm which has private banking and asset management divisions with $1.2 trillion in assets under management as of 30 June 2009.
