JP Morgan Bolsters UK Private Banking Team

JP Morgan has added Aastha Gurbax to its UK private banking team as a vice president based in London.

Gurbax was latterly an investment advisor at Morgan Stanley, covering ultra high net worth families, family offices and charities on both an advisory and discretionary basis. Before joining the Wall Street banking giant she had been a tax consultant at both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte and Touche, and prior to this worked in foreign exchange trading, specialised derivatives and strategic business development.

In her new role Gurbax will report to Olivier de Givenchy, head of JP Morgan Private Bank in the UK.

In another recent appointment at the bank, last month saw the hire of John Pietri - a veteran of Société Générale Corporate & Investment Banking - as an executive director and senior banker for JP Morgan’s private banking team in France. Pietri spent 13 years with SocGen CIB, where he was most recently a director in the M&A team in Paris.
