JP Morgan Asset Management Unveils New Investment Outsourcing Unit For UK Market

JP Morgan Asset Management is looking to launch an new unit for UK advisors seeking to outsource their investment solutions.
The new unit, called JPM UK Adviser Solutions, is planned to enter the market in the latter part of the year.
The US-listed asset management giant said that the decision came after consultations with clients on how to best assist them following the implementation of the Retail Distribution Review at the start of 2013. The UK Financial Services Authority’s RDR is designed to improve advisors’ qualification standards and stamp out the use of commission payments.
The new unit comes hot on the heels of the recent creation of a global investment management capability called asset management solutions which comprises the firm’s investment management global multi-asset group, as well as its private banking global access portfolios and thematic and opportunistic advisory programmes. JPM UK Adviser Solutions will be assisted by this group, headed by Seth Bernstein, a 28-year veteran of JP Morgan.
JP Morgan Asset Management had $1.4 trillion in assets under management at the end of March this year.
