JP Morgan AM Launches Asia-Focused Multi-Asset Fund

JP Morgan Asset Management has launched a new multi-asset fund that aims to capitalise on high-income opportunities in Asia.

The JPM JF Asia Pacific Income Fund is designed it maximise potential income from long-term capital growth opportunities and invests mainly in securities in Asia-Pacific ex-Japan, the firm said. The portfolio covers a wide range of asset classes, including high-dividend stocks, real estate investment trusts, high-yield bonds and investment bonds.

One of its key features is a monthly distribution to investors via the 'mth' classes, which are available in both US and Hong Kong dollars. The fund may help investors compensate for the current low market yields by acting as an alternative source of income that is distributed regularly, the firm says.

"Growth in Asia is one of the major positive contributors to global growth and we believe Asia remains one of the most promising regions globally, even in these times of difficult and uncertain markets," said Stephen Chang, manager of the JPM JF Asia Pacific Income Fund.

JP Morgan Asset Management has a network of eight offices in Asia-Pacific: Hong Kong, Melbourne, Mumbai, Seoul, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo.
