Jobs to Go at Fidelity International - Report

Around 170 jobs are being shed at fund manager Fidelity International, including up to 100 redundancies, according to a report in the Financial Times. The losses are thought to be aimed at marketing and support services at the firm. The FT says that in the fourth quarter of 2007 Fidelity International saw a net outflow of £977 million from its UK funds, has conceded its top position in the UK to rivals and is suffering from low moral and high staff turnover.
