JO Hambro Launches Emerging Markets Fund

London boutique investment manager JO Hambro Capital Management has launched a new global emerging markets equities fund, co-managed by Emery Brewer and Dr Ivo Kovachev.

The fund will be available to retail and institutional investors in both sterling and euro share classes via the company’s Dublin-based fund range. The latest addition to the JOHCM fund stable will have a capacity limit of $1.5 billion.

The fund managers will follow a principally bottom-up, stock selection-driven process that seeks to identify the most dynamic growth stocks within emerging markets.

“Despite very strong performance over the last twelve months, the fundamentals of this asset class remain broadly attractive. We will be making extensive use of screening tools and closely tracking fundamentals and news flow in order to identify companies demonstrating strong and improving operational performance – companies that have the potential to develop world-class products or become leaders in industry markets. Growing consumer markets, an infrastructure boom, abundant natural resources and export excellence should propel emerging markets stocks higher over time,” Brewer said in a statement.
