JM Finn Names New Chief Operating Officer

The chief operating officer comes from RBC Brewin Dolphin.

UK wealth manager JM Finn has appointed Mark Haines (pictured) as chief operating officer, replacing Rob Deverell who left the firm for personal reasons.

Haines, who began the role earlier this year, joined the company after three years at RBC Brewin Dolphin, where he was most recently chief technology officer, JM Finn said in a statement. Prior to that, he was at Standard Life Aberdeen for nearly a decade as integration programme director.

With over 20 years’ experience across operations, technology and change, Haines will be responsible for business transformation and change, and the operations, IT and projects departments will report to him. Haines will report to CEO Hugo Bedford, the firm continued.

“Mark’s arrival has already helped us put some more rigour and structure in place for the various strategic projects that are in flight and I’m certain his experience will serve us well as we look to continue enhancing our client proposition,” Bedford said.

Haines has joined another new starter, Andrew Dunkin, who came from Investec Wealth & Investments, as head of projects, the firm added.

Headquartered in London, JM Finn has funds under management and administration of £10.6 billion ($13.8 billion), with regional offices in Bristol, Bury St Edmunds, York and Winchester.
