Jersey Trust Company has formalised its offering for specialist marine and aviation services, bringing together the various offerings across the group under the new JTC Marine & Aviation business line, which will be led by Mathew Ruane.  

Ruane, who recently joined JTC, will oversee the group’s consolidated marine and aviation services as well as driving the development of new services and business.

The venture is part of a strategy of targeted growth, according to the firm, and is expected to create at least five new jobs in Jersey within the first year.

JTC Marine & Aviation will offer commercial yacht charter services, private yacht ownership structures, corporate structuring for the sales and acquisitions of yachts and aircraft, and Malta lease arrangements for yachts. Other services include VAT importations into the EU for yachts, commercial and private aircraft importations, yacht registry in all Red Ensign and a variety of offshore jurisdictions, aircraft ownership and leasing/charter structuring, employment structures for yacht crew, yacht accounting, and advice and support in respect of domestic legislation affecting yachts.
