Jersey's VG Group Makes Promotions, Hires

The group said that its new business has risen rapidly over the past year.
Jersey-based VG, which provides trust, corporate and fund administration, yesterday reported a 225 per cent rise in new business in its 2020/21 financial year from a year earlier. It also announced that it had a made a number of hires and two promotions.

Aaron Smith, who joined VG in 2018, has been promoted to senior
trust officer; he specialises in managing VG’s restricted
services clients. Within the private wealth team Tommy Ling, who
joined VG in 2020 as a trainee trust administrator after exiting
a seven-year career in the travel industry, has been promoted to
trust administrator. Joining Ling in the private wealth team is
new starter Matt Philpott, who was appointed as a trust
administrator.
VG has also appointed two trainee fund administrators in its
funds team - Zach Ellam and Lewis Mold.
The group has added to its technology and compliance teams.
Gareth Ashby, who has been appointed as business intelligence
solutions developer, has more than 20 years of experience of
maintaining and developing solutions within the finance and
medical industry.
Jessica Giraffa has joined as a compliance administrator.
