Nikko Asset Management, the Asian investment management firm, has appointed Violet Pacileo as assistant director of product management based in London.

Pacileo was an assistant portfolio manager on the Japan investment desk at Aberdeen Asset Management and was most recently part of the company's global marketing and business management team for the Benelux region. Prior to that, she was part of Merrill Lynch Japan Securities, where she served as research assistant in the Japanese automotive equity division.

At Nikko AM, Pacileo will be representing the Asia-based portfolio management teams in Europe and serve as an investor liaison into the company's investment products and other information. She reports to Lora-Ann Chiginsky, the director for business development in Europe, and Kay Akast, the head of marketing and client services.

Nikko AM has a representative branch in London, aside from its other key offices in Tokyo, Singapore, and New York. The asset manager also recently expanded its network in Australia following its acquisition of Tyndall Investments.
