Janney Montgomery Scott Hires Planning Director

Janney Montgomery Scott, a wealth management, financial services and investment banking firm headquartered in Philadelphia, has hired Jeffrey Spivack as director of financial and estate planning in its wealth management department.

He will be responsible for the day-to-day internal strategic planning, oversight and management of the financial and estate planning group. He replaces Christopher Haidinger - recently named director, private wealth consulting - and will lead the consultation arm of financial planning from outside of the corporate headquarters, travelling to Janney's over 100 branch offices.

Mr Spivack joins from Ryan Beck (now Stifel Nicolaus), where he served as director of financial planning.

Janney is an independently operated subsidiary of the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, one of the 15 largest mutual insurance companies in the US, and is a member of the New York Stock Exchange.
